Find Your Strong-Saucony Guides

While I was back in Maryland last week, I received a text from Nick that there was a package for me waiting at our apartment, along with a picture of some brand spankin’ new running shoes.

These sweet little shoes are the new Saucony Guides, and let me just start off by confessing my absolute love for them. I’m pretty picky when it comes to running shoes, because I have flat feet that can sometimes make for a painful fit. I’m going to be honest and admit that looks have a lot to do with my shoe shopping decisions, and I fell in love with the fiery look of these shoes.(So did Nick!) And pretty much everyone else I’ve sent pictures of them to in the last 24 hours) When I saw the opportunity to try out a pair of the shoes through Saucony’s partnership with FitFluential, I signed up thinking that I had nothing to lose. Either I fall in love with a pair of shoes that fit amazingly and do wonders for my running, or I add another pair of shoes to the long list of shoes that just don’t agree with my feet.

Yesterday, I laced them up for a quick run to break them in, and have been gushing about them ever since. They grip my feet in all the right places, so I don’t feel like there’s too much pressure on the bottoms of my feet or too much give around my ankles. These shoes also feel extremely light on my feet, and they are significantly lighter than the shoes I have been running in lately. ( I still love you, purple Pumas!)

While I’m loving on the Saucony brand so much, might I mention that these could not have come at a more perfect time? This week marks my return to my half-marathon training, and what better way to start back up than with an awesome new pair of shoes? Answer: there isn’t a better way. I’m looking forward to wearing these on my long weekend runs, and hopefully in my half-marathon as well. These will be in stores for sale starting November 1, and I highly recommend them if you’re in the market for a new pair of shoes.

Breakfast

As I was writing yesterday’s post, I realized it had been over a week since I had a green monster. ┬áIt was all I could think about this morning for breakfast, and I’m happy to announce that the green smoothies have made a return to my life. From now on, when I travel I will be bringing my little blender because green monsters in the morning give me so much energy and make me feel so much better than any of my other breakfast favorites. I’m a happy girl this morning!

Gotta run! I’m still working on that nice to-do list that’s been following me around since I got back from Maryland!

Before you go, are you loyal to a particular brand? I used to swear by my Nike Shox, but I think that’s because I personalized them in obnoxious color combos. Please tell me I’m not the only one who did that!

I used to love my Nike Shox, but I started wearing Reebokx over a year ago. I can’t think of anything else to wear than those now!

I’m a big fan of my Mizuno Wave Inspires right now but I’m also a fan of the Asics 2100 series. I have really flat feet too, so I’m pretty sensitive to what shoes work for me, but I’m on the market for a new pair and this time they better be colorful!

I love Nike Free!! I also have flat, kinda wide feet so running shoes squeeze my feet sometimes and put too much pressure on the sides. I want free pair of shoes tho!!!
