Good morning! This morning has been a little bit chaotic. I woke up in the middle of the night to a sick dog throwing up worms, (ew, ew, ew) so needless to say, we went to Petco as soon as it opened up to get Bentley some medicine. He’s going to the boarder in just four days, and I don’t want to give them a sick dog! Luckily we were able to get some strong pills for him that should take care of his sickness by the end of the day, so we’ll see. My fingers are crossed for my little guy-I absolutely hate seeing him sick!
Last night, pre-sickness, B & I went for a run to kick off our weekend of bonding.
He was clearly just as excited as I was.
I actually love running with Bentley. I used to think people were crazy for running with their dogs, but Bentley can keep up with me easily and is a great running partner. He had a lot of energy last night so we ran 2 miles (4 laps outside) before calling it a night. We only stopped a couple of times and finished in just under 15 minutes. I really want to find a dog 5K to enter with him, but I’m not sure how he would do with all of the other dogs around. He wants to be friends with every single dog he sees, so I’m pretty sure he would be preoccupied with them and not the race. We shall see!
After our run I ran out to pick up a couple of things for the weekend, and to check the tire pressure in my car (ew). I hate doing any car-related maintenance, such as oil changes, new batteries, etc. I had to get a new battery in my car last weekend and was not happy about it, so when the tire pressure light came on in my car this week I was less than excited. That’s what having a boyfriend is good for. ;) Just kidding, Nick. Love you!
Anyways, since I leave on Tuesday to go back to Maryland, all I needed were my three favorite foods. Strawberries, bananas, and Chobani. Funny how I conveniently ran out of them all at once. Coincidence, I think not.
Let’s talk about how all of that only cost $10. Plus a gallon of my new favorite almond milk ever.
This stuff is so.good. I’ve already had it twice today-first in a green monster, and then in coffee. I don’t see myself going back to regular almond milk anytime soon. If you haven’t tried this yet, I highly recommend it! It’s not overly sweet and is so good in coffee. I found it at Target, but I’m pretty sure it’s most likely in any grocery store, as well as Whole Foods (duh).
Since I have a lot of freelance work I want to get done today so I’m not worrying about it over Thanksgiving, I got up bright and early with Bentley and took him for a long walk. The sun had just came up by the time we headed out, and it was absolutely gorgeous outside.
This never gets old to me.
We walked about 3 miles, in and out of all of the stores outside of our apartment before finishing up with a lap around our apartment. I love the fact that there are so many sidewalks here; there aren’t sidewalks at my parent’s house and whenever I used to walk him there,it had to be in the road, which always scared me. Speaking of being scared, Bentley is slightly terrified of these little half mannequins in the windows of one of the new stores by our apartment. It takes him a couple minutes to walk up to the window, and he jumps at any sudden noise as if they are going to jump out at him. The dog is a total baby.
Now I’m off to knock out some work before hitting the gym for a long run. I hope you guys are all enjoying your weekend!
Before you go, what is the one thing you’re looking forward to the most this weekend? I’m SO excited for the Ravens vs. Steelers game tomorrow night! They’re our biggest rivals and this game is always one of my favorites!
