Ciao bellas! (and bello, because Nick-I know you’re going to read this at some point).

For some reason this week is dragging a little bit. I know it’s already halfway over but I usually get to Wednesday and wonder where the time has gone-not this week! Although, who am I kidding- I know this time tomorrow I will be talking about how it’s almost Friday and  nonstop checking the weather to see if I can squeeze in more time in the sun.

I’ve been having fun in the gym for the last week training different muscles that I neglected while training for my half-marathon. I did this workout first on Saturday and then again yesterday, and I’m happy to report that I’m not nearly as sore today as I was on Sunday from it. It’s a good one, so I wanted to share it with you all! If any of you give it a go, pleeeeeeeease let me know what you think!

It takes me around 45 minutes to an hour (depending on whether or not I round it out with some time on the elliptical or bike). I’m trying to focus more on circuit workouts with some cardio sessions in between, so be on the lookout for a few similar ones coming your way.

Now let’s talk about my latest little food love. A couple of weeks ago, I bought a few packs of chia seeds from Whole Foods on a whim. I know I’m majorly late to the chia party but they had just never really appealed to me. When I saw them for just 99 cents, I figured I could deal with losing out on $3 if I really hated them and bought three packs.

Welp, I was wrong there. I LOVE these chia seeds! They really thicken up overnight oats and the weird seedy texture that I was worried about is nonexistent. I’ve already used all three packages-all in overnight oats-so I think it’s time to invest in a big bag of them. Any suggestions?

The only place I can’t really get on board with these chia seeds is in Kombucha. I bought a couple of the chia Kombuchas and the texture of them in the Kombucha just isn’t really my thing.

In other non-related news, I think it’s finally time for a haircut. I’ve been saying this for MONTHS-but I have a serious attachment to my hair and every time I make an appointment, I back out. I don’t know what it is, but I just get really scared. In my senior year of college, one of my professors told me that I would have to get my hair cut if I ever wanted to be on TV because most stations don’t like the “long hair college girl look”. I was so upset I told her I wouldn’t take a job that ever required me to cut my hair. True story. Anyways, I’ve been browsing around on Pinterest and am trying to decide on either this long bob type cut:

e2bd2b2171cbb3d223fa538f1bebcf62OR keeping it long but layering it like this:

And now I’ve got to get back to work. Hope you all are having a great, happy Wednesday! :)

Have you ever tried chia seeds? Do you like them?

You should cut your hair! I cut mine short(ish) back in February after having long hair forever and ended up loving it… I was convinced I would hate it but needed a change. No regrets! This is basically the cut.. My hair is way healthier now, grows so fast and is SO EASY to maintain. Do it!

PS love your blog (and your dog)!

Definitely cut your hair! I am a huge fan of you doing it. Change is good, it’s scary- but you feel great after! And remember what you said to me when I cut more than 5 inches off my hair? It’ll always grow back.

You can always just use coconut oil too 😉

I will forever vote on Long hair! I think it’s much more feminine and attractive than short hair (at least on me.) I’m totally digging the second picture though – it’s so cute!

I’m pinning that circuit workout. I GOTTA GET BACK IN SHAPE! Currently, I’m on day 4 of a cleanse and I still haven’t found the time to make it to the gym. At least I could do the sweaty circuit in my living room.
