Man. It’s been a WHILE since I got in the gym and lifted/worked my arms. I had been relying on hot yoga for most of my strength and toning for about the last month, so I changed it up last night at the gym. This is the arm workout I did…
and today my arms feel like jelly. The DOMS finally set in this morning and I am feelin it big time! I’m not going to lie, I kinda love the feeling of sore arms. It means my little muscles are growing!
I also hopped on the elliptical for 45 minutes. I did 20 minutes of HIIT (which, on the elliptical, is quite interesting) and played around with the resistance throughout the workout. I also alternated forward and backward pedaling to keep my legs alert. It’s so easy to get bored and zone out on the elliptical, so I try to change things up every couple of minutes. It makes the workout fly by!
This morning started off with a green monster served up in the favor glass from my cousin’s wedding. I LOVE it! Dark chocolate almond milk, spinach, one frozen banana and a tablespoon of peanut butter make the perfect green monster.
I’m still thinking up my workout for tonight. I really wanted to get up early to go to the gym but I am covered in bug bites right now and slept horribly. I feel like I was up every 30 minutes itching them. I also have to plan my workout around a roofer who is coming to fix our roof (hopefully!) because it’s leaking and we need that fixed ASAP! Tonight’s workout may just be a 4 mile run around downtown followed by some toning from Bess’s The Slim Life. I pulled my copy out this weekend and found a bunch of workouts to tackle over the next few weeks.
