Back in Maryland

Good morning!

Can you believe there are only FOUR days until Christmas?! I swear, 2013 FLEW by. I can’t believe that I have 10 glorious days off from work. I’m not complaining because trust me, I need a break. The last half of the year has been so busy that I’ve barely had time to stop and catch my breath. With Nick going back to school in 2014 and some possible changes for me that I hope to talk about soon, I’m sure 2014 will be quite busy as well. This is why being an adult is overrated. No 5 weeks off for Christmas break like in college, no mom around to tackle the piling tower of laundry that we currently have in our closet, and no one to do my taxes for me in the beginning of the year.

However, having my own place, being independent, knowing how to take care of myself and living with Nick definitely trumps all of that. Maybe being an adult isn’t so overrated. I just need to hire a maid.

Just kidding guys!

Last night we flew into Baltimore and landed around 9:30. Our plans changed a little bit but after Nick’s dad picked us up, we changed really quick and headed to meet up with my friends. I am not allowed to drink right now because of the severity of my anemia so I couldn’t participate in the drinking festivities…but neither could my good friend Holly, who is pregnant with what I am sure will be the most adorable little guy in the world so I had a sober partner for the night! 😉

It was a late night and I was so happy to sleep in this morning! I’m currently blogging in bed but have to get my going because we, of course, have some last minute Christmas shopping to get done. Nick is bribing me with coffee, so it’s time for me to get going. See ya later!
